early child 1

Head Start is an early childhood education program serving income eligible pregnant women and families with children from ages 0-5.

The Head Start program provides developmentally appropriate educational activities for young children and an opportunity for families to become involved in their child's education.

Head Start is funded with federal assistance through the Department of Health & Human Services and through state funding provided by the Department of Children & Families. There is no monetary cost to eligible families.

The vision of SEK-CAP’s Head Start program is to serve every income eligible family/child in Southeast Kansas.
